Senior Software Engineer
Salary: £35k - £45k* pa + Performance Related Bonus up to 10%
*Salary is offered subject to levels of qualification, ability and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers to determine requirements
- Design, implement and test software to meet customer requirements
- Support the software integration with the customers systems
- Adhere to the companys Quality Management processes
- Track and report progress both internally and externally
- Plan work schedules and produce estimates
- Suggest and implement improvements to the company processes
- Attend or chair internal and external technical meetings
- Interface to external suppliers of hardware or software
Required
- A degree (2.1 or above) or solid software development experience
- An excellent understanding of OO techniques
- Competent in C++ and/or Java
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Thorough experience in all areas of software development
- Ability to learn quickly, along with an eye for detail
- Ability to pass UK MoD security checks.
Desirable
- Knowledge of C, the STL, OpenGL, SQL, XML, CVS, Unix
- The ability to lead a team
- Experience in Real Time Systems
- Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies
