Software Engineer
Salary: £25k - £35k* pa + Performance Related Bonus up to 10%
*Salary is offered subject to levels of qualification, ability and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers to determine requirements
- Design, implement and test software to meet customer requirements
- Support the software integration with the customer’s systems
- Adhere to the company’s Quality Management processes
- Track and report progress both internally and externally
- Assist the planning of work schedules and estimates
- Suggest and implement improvements to the company processes
- Attend internal and external technical meetings
- Interface to external suppliers of hardware or software
Required
- A degree (2.1 or above) or solid software development experience
- A good understanding of OO techniques
- Competent in C++ and/or Java
- Good communication and team working skills
- Experience in all areas of software development
- Ability to learn quickly, along with an eye for detail
- Ability to pass UK MoD security checks.
Desirable
- Knowledge of C, the STL, OpenGL, SQL, XML, CVS, Unix
- Experience in Real Time Systems
