Software Unit Test Engineer
Salary: £20k - £35k* pa + Performance Related Bonus up to 10%
*Salary is offered subject to levels of qualification, ability and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop unit test scripts to provide software source coverage analysis
- Requirements analysis, test planning, development, execution and reporting
- Raise, investigate and verify defects
- Configuration management
- Adhere to the company’s Quality Management processes
- Track and report progress to team leader
- Suggest and implement improvements to the company processes
- Occasionally integrate and test software on a client's site
Required
- Significant Ada 83/95 and/or C++ experience
- A degree (2.1 or above) or solid software test experience
- Excellent communication, organisational and team working skills
- Self motivated with the ability to prioritise and plan work
- Enthusiastic and keen to learn
- Ability to learn quickly, along with an eye for detail
- Ability to Pass UK MoD Security checks.
Desirable
- Experience of the software development lifecycle
- Experience of large scale engineering projects
- Experience of the Rational Tool Set – Testmate, Apex, Soda
- Knowledge of Doors, Quality Centre, CVS, MS Office applications
